Use Cases

Using simple rules for separations, authorizations and priorities

Air-Traffic Control Simulation

Simulation of a TMA air-traffic controller handling several concurrent arrivals and departures.

Using simple rules for separations, authorizations and priorities, vsTASKER is capable of providing a simulation with hundreds of aircraft, running faster than real-time for what-if analysis.

Each aircraft is controlling its own scripted flight plan, then sends requests to ATC and follows his instructions.

ATC receives all requests from arriving and departing aircraft, organize and queue them, instructs aircraft according to minimum separations on runways and approach corridors as well as occupations and holding pattern availability.

  • Use of Logic for flight planning
  • Use of Rules for regulation and separations
  • OpenGL 2D for visualization of the TMA
